Our Story and Growth

The desire to open a child care center in Rangeley was sparked by a dear friend and champion of the Rangeley community, Beth Brunswick. Before her passing in 2022, she expressed a desire to see the creation of a full-service child development center to serve the region’s demand and enhance the services available to families in the area.

Our team responded to Beth’s vision. Since 2022, we created a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, conducted surveys and town forums to define the need, purchased property adjacent to the local public school, engaged a child care center design specialist, hired a contractor, raised the funding from public and private sources, and are fulfilling an unmet need in Rangeley. With the creation of this new, purpose built 4986square foot licensed child development center, families in Rangeley and its surrounding communities will have access to child care so they can return to the workforce, extend their working hours or enter job training programs.  We are working in partnership with the Rangeley Lakes Regional School, several state and local agencies that operate and advise child care facilities, as well as our many generous benefactors that support affordable child care for all. 

Our goal is to provide reliable, affordable childcare for all families, regardless of their socio-economic status, so that all of the region’s children can begin Kindergarten prepared to learn, grow, and maximize their individual potential.
